Layers of a Cloudy Maui Sunset
The layers upon layers of clouds, that form around the volcanic peaks of Maui and the surrounding islands, provide spectacular visual depth. This photo was taken at Ulua beach in the Wailea area of Maui looking out towards the island of Lanai. I knelt with my bare feet in the sand and the tripod spread low to the ground to capture this perspective. Each wave surrounding me, gently rushing over my feet, reminding me to be calm and enjoy this tranquil moment.
